I posted an anti-Kamala comment a few weeks ago, but now I'm 100% on her side. In fact, I just made my first contribution of the 2024 election cycle. Trump is now the oldest candidate in presidential election history, and God willing, the media will switch from denigrating "old, out of touch" Biden to reminding us that, hey, Trump is old too. I think women and Black voters in particular will rally 'round.

Indeed. There's an old Rolling Stones song, "You can't always get what you want...but if you try sometime, you just might find, you get what you need." And, haha, she won't need money. It's gonna be a tidal wave.

I contributed a token amount mainly as a show of support, because it was the only way I could think of to demonstrate that I don't want any flailing around for alternate candidates at this point. Announce a veep pick fast and hit the ground running.

I don’t get the desire to coronate her and move on. She’ll be in a stronger position if she wins a tough contest. It’s time for Democrats to toughen up and move into September battle-hardened.

That would be optimal, but the party doesn't seem to want it. Not to pat myself on the back...well, maybe a little...in hours after I posted this, just about every commentator used the word "energy" to describe Democrats' reaction. I don't think there's a taste for another intra-party squabble..

I think energy is key. If she can keep it going, she wins. If not, she loses. As to VP, Kelly is terrific, but I'd prefer someone who could tip the balance of the big 3 in the Midwest, which would be Shapiro or Beshear. Cooper is too old and NC is a stretch.
